| Real Piano Feel with Aftertouch! |
| Fatar SRL have been manufacturing keyboard actions in Italy for decades, and have supplied actions for the world's most famous synths and electric piano. The VMK 188 and VMK 149 include Fatar's latest high quality graded hammer action, Fatar Grand Touch.(Graded means Heavier on the bottom and gradually lighter towards the top, just like a real piano.) Most instruments that claim "piano action" utilize weighted keys with a sluggish feel and limited dynamic range. Fatar's hammer is thrown up and forward on its pivot as the key is depressed, mimicking exactly the mechanism of an acoustic piano. More mass moving through a greater arc means greater acceleration of the key, greatly increased dynamic range, and a satisfying sense of the "throw point" of the hammer, which improves rhythmic accuracy. |
